Often we run into situation where we wanted to identify if there are any Oracle DB level events enabled that are writing to a trace file.
One easy way to identify events enabled at the system level is by running the following command.
SQL> oradebug setmypid
Statement processed.
SQL> oradebug eventdump system
10797 trace name context forever, level 4
If you want to identify events/trace enabled at the session level, set the oradebug to that specific session and run the oradebug eventdump session command.
SQL> oradebug setospid 353002
Oracle pid: 526, Unix process pid: 353002, image: oracle@host-abcdef (MS01)
SQL> oradebug event 10797 trace name context forever, level 4
Statement processed.
SQL>
SQL> oradebug eventdump session
10797 trace name context forever, level 4
